The defendant was sued for, among other things, failing to provide a safe and suitable ramp. The jury verdict was unanimously affirmed on appeal (John Belton v. Barnhart Manufacturing, Mecklenburg County, 1995).

• $1,120,000.00 - Workplace Accident - Jury verdict for client who suffered crush injuries when a crane he was dismantling collapsed on top of him, resulting in severe fractures and permanent injuries. (Mecklenburg County, 1993).

• $765,000.00 - Work Injury - Settlement for client who suffered severe lower extremity injuries after falling off the back of the defendant's trailer at the defendant's loading dock. Client was a truck driver who had arrived at the defendant's loading dock to haul the trailer. It was the defendant's policy and responsibility to ensure that each trailer readied for pick-up had its door closed to prevent drivers such as our client from having to risk injury by climbing on the back of the trailer to close the door.  

• $320,000.00 - Chemical Exposure - Settlement for client who inhaled toxic chemicals while working as a truck driver, resulting in damage to his lungs (Mecklenburg County, 2002).
