Distracted Driving

Traffic deaths are up almost 20 percent in North Carolina so far this year and one reason for the increase is distracted driving. Motorists continue to text while driving despite numerous studies demonstrating that texting while driving is as dangerous, if not more than dangerous, than drunk driving. Texting while driving is never a safe practice. Moreover, repeat studies continue to demonstrate that cell phone use in general while driving is a significant contributing factor to motor vehicle wrecks. We see all too often in our practice catastrophic injuries caused by drivers using their cell phones, and its not limited to young, inexperienced drivers. When behind the wheel, put the phone down. It can wait. If you or a loved one have been injured as a result of distracted driving, contact one of the car accident lawyers at Warren & Kallianos today.
